Where Beauty, Brains and Stability Align.
Purpose-bred German Shepherd Dogs developed with clarity, structure, and intent.
Dogs are our passion- we are a small, carefully managed breeding program centered on producing dogs of sound mind and body.
We are dedicated to producing German Shepherd Dogs with steady temperaments, and purposeful design. We believe in thoughtful development, honest evaluation, and decisions made with the future in mind. Every decision- whether breeding or training is guided with clarity, restraint, and respect for the breed. Regardless if you are new to working dogs or have years of experience, you are welcome here.
We are built on intention, not excess.
“Efficiency for work must count more than the honors of the show ring.”
This principle continues to guide our approach to breeding, training, and placement.

Any Questions?
-
We focus on West German Working Line German Shepherd Dogs because they’re built and bred to do more than just look impressive. These dogs tend to have lean, athletic bodies, moderate structure, and the kind of durability that supports real work, and long-term soundness.
While other local programs place their emphasis on show lines — which are often bred for a larger frame, more dramatic angulation, and a striking gait in the ring — our priorities are different. We care most about how a dog moves, thinks, and functions in everyday life. For us, structure should support purpose, and a well-built dog is one that can work, train, and live comfortably for years to come.
-
Our work with dogs began at a young age and has grown into over six years of professional, hands-on experience in daily care, training, and breeding-related work.
While our breeding program is newer, it has been years in the making, and we chose to begin only once we were fully confident in our preparation and ability to responsibly support each dog we produce.
-
We have 1-2 litters per year. This can vary but we will not produce more than 3 litters each year. Our values do not align with having several litters per year, or multiple litters on the ground at the same time. We believe that a true ethical breeder will prioritize quality over quantity.
-
All of our breeding dogs, including stud males, hold hip and elbow certifications via OFA or Germany’s A-Stamp program and are clear of hip and elbow dysplasia. They also receive SV or Embark DNA testing, screening for over 200 genetic conditions to support long-term health and informed breeding decisions.
-
Yes. All of our puppies are placed with a written 24-month health guarantee covering serious hereditary conditions, including moderate to severe hip and elbow dysplasia. Puppies come from health-tested parents and are vet-checked prior to placement. Full terms and exclusions are outlined in the puppy contract.
-
Our puppies come with limited AKC registration, which means you do not have breeding rights however dogs are still eligible to participate in AKC events.
There are special occasions where we will offer co-owned puppies with full AKC registration under specific circumstances. For more information about co-ownership click here.
-
All puppies are registered with our kennel name vom Noctis, which appears at the end of their registered name (for example, Onyx vom Noctis).
Registered names are selected by the breeder in alignment with each litter’s theme. Families are welcome to choose their puppy’s everyday call name.
-
A call name is your puppy’s everyday name — the name you use in daily life to address your dog.
While registered names follow our vom Noctis kennel structure, families are welcome to choose any call name they prefer.
-
We do not allow people to pick puppies themselves, usually people will pick the first puppy that comes to them… that is not how we roll here! We work closely with puppy buyers to learn what your wants and needs are for your new family member. We utilize The Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test along with close examination of body language and reactions to a plethora of new situations during the last 4 weeks of their time with us. Volhard is a standardized objective tool used to match a puppy’s natural inherited temperament with a buyers lifestyle and expectations. Volhard is not a pass/fail test but a guide to help us ensure a perfect match.
While we do not place puppies based on coloring, and looks we do take into consideration gender and color preferences, our goal is to get you the perfect puppy that matches ALL of your desires.
-
We offer safe and transport for approved homes throughout the State of Hawai‘i.
Puppies may travel beginning at 8 weeks of age, once fully weaned and developmentally ready.
Interisland transport is available via Aloha Air Cargo. We can also personally fly your puppy to your nearest island airport for hand-delivery. Families are welcome to coordinate pickup at Kona International Airport as well.
All transport expenses are the responsibility of the buyer. We reserve the right to delay travel if weather or safety conditions are not ideal.
-
We require that your dog stays intact up until 24 months of age, and is sterilized before 36 months.
Sterilizing a dog before 24 months will void our health guarantee.
Allowing your puppy to fully develop is crucial to the health of your German Shepherd . This time frame allows ample time for your puppy to fully mature and decreases the risk of joint problems like hip and elbow dysplasia which are common in the breed.
-
All deposits are refundable until puppies are born! Once the puppies are born the deposit is no longer refundable unless the following criteria applies.
Refund of $500 deposit
If we do not have a puppy with your preference of gender in the litter, your deposit can be fully refunded or transferred to our next litter.
If you have paid a deposit before pregnancy is confirmed and for some reason the dam does not become pregnant, your deposit is fully refundable or transferable.
Deposits are only transferrable ONE time. If a buyer decides to transfer their deposit to a future litter and does not take home a puppy from that litter, the deposit is no longer refundable and your reservation will be forfeited.
-
Our pricing is intentionally structured to reflect the full investment behind each litter — including health testing, early development, temperament evaluation, and long-term breeder support.
We prioritize responsible breeding and thoughtful placement over inflated market pricing, while maintaining uncompromising standards in the dogs we produce.
