Our Training Philosophy

Training at Woolly Warriors is guided by the same principles that shape our breeding program: clarity of communication, reliability, and thoughtful development.

Our focus is on helping owners develop the natural willingness, drive, and intelligence their dogs already possess while building clear communication and reliable behavior.

Education is a central part of our work. Within Hawai‘i’s small but growing canine community, we aim to support dog owners by addressing common misconceptions and outdated training approaches that often circulate online or through long-held beliefs.

Our goal is to provide practical, experience-based guidance rooted in clarity, balance, and responsibility—beginning locally, with the understanding that meaningful progress starts close to home.

  • Puppy Prep 101

    Bringing home a new puppy requires preparation, structure, and realistic expectations. This session is for families who are expecting a new puppy and focuses on setting puppies up for success from the start by helping owners plan ahead and avoid common mistakes that lead to problem behaviors.

    Confidence & Socialization

    True socialization is not about meeting every stranger or visiting crowded dog parks. Instead, it focuses on building confidence through positive experiences and teaching dogs to remain calm and neutral in real-world environments.

    Foundation Obedience

    Foundation obedience teaches clear communication between dog and handler through essential commands, leash skills, and impulse control. These skills form the groundwork for reliable behavior at home and in public settings.

    All dogs who complete Obedience Foundations will be gifted with a Fi S3+ collar upon completion!

    AKC S.T.A.R PUPPY

    The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program, developed by the American Kennel Club, introduces puppies and owners to structured training, socialization, and responsible dog ownership.

    Designed for puppies under one year of age, the program builds the foundation for future training and Canine Good Citizen titles.

    All dogs who complete any AKC classes will be gifted with a Fi S3+ collar upon completion!

    AKC Canine Good Citizen

    The Canine Good Citizen program, developed by the American Kennel Club, recognizes dogs that demonstrate reliable manners, stability, and good behavior in everyday environments.

    As an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator, we administer CGC, Community Canine (CGCA), Urban CGC (CGCU), Video Home Manners, and Trick Dog evaluations.

    All dogs who complete any AKC classes will be gifted with a Fi S3+ collar upon completion!

    Perfect for owners looking to address a specific training goal or continue progressing after completing one of our programs. Each session is fully customized to your dog’s needs and training level.

    Behavior Modification
