Our work with dogs began at a young age and has grown into over six years of professional, hands-on experience in daily care, training, and breeding-related work.

While our breeding program is newer, it has been years in the making, and we chose to begin only once we were fully confident in our preparation and ability to responsibly support each dog we produce.

We have 1-2 litters per year. This can vary but we will not produce more than 3 litters each year. Our values do not align with having several litters per year, or multiple litters on the ground at the same time. We believe that a true ethical breeder will prioritize quality over quantity. With that being said, all of our breeding decisions are made in collaboration with what our Veterinarians suggest is best for our mama dogs.

All of our breeding dogs, including stud males, hold hip and elbow certifications via OFA or (SV) Germany’s A-Stamp program and are clear of hip and elbow dysplasia. They also receive Embark DNA testing, screening for over 200 genetic conditions to support long-term health and informed breeding decisions.

Yes. All of our puppies are placed with a written 24-month health guarantee covering serious hereditary conditions, including moderate to severe hip and elbow dysplasia. Puppies come from health-tested parents and are vet-checked prior to placement. Full terms and exclusions are outlined in the puppy contract.

Our puppies come with limited AKC registration, which means you do not have breeding rights unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. However dogs are still eligible to participate in AKC events.

There are special occasions where we will offer co-owned puppies with full AKC registration under specific circumstances. For more information about co-ownership click here.

All puppies are registered with our kennel name vom Noctis, which appears at the end of their registered name (for example, Onyx vom Noctis).

Registered names are selected by the breeder in alignment with each litter’s theme. Families are welcome to choose their puppy’s everyday call name.

A call name is your puppy’s everyday name — the name you use in daily life to address your dog.

While registered names follow our Kennel structure, families are welcome to choose any call name they prefer.

We do not allow people to pick puppies themselves, usually people will pick the first puppy that comes to them… that is not how we roll here! We work closely with puppy buyers to learn what your wants and needs are for your new family member. We utilize The Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test along with close examination of body language and reactions to a plethora of new situations during the last 4 weeks of their time with us. Volhard is a standardized objective tool used to match a puppy’s natural inherited temperament with a buyers lifestyle and expectations. Volhard is not a pass/fail test but a guide to help us ensure a perfect match.

While we do not place puppies based on coloring, and looks we do take into consideration gender and color preferences, our goal is to get you the perfect puppy that matches ALL of your desires.

We offer safe, carefully coordinated transport for approved homes throughout Hawaii, the mainland United States, and select rabies-free countries.

Hawaii Families

Puppies may begin traveling inter-island at 10 weeks of age, once fully weaned and developmentally ready.

Inter-island transport is available via the Aloha Air Cargo , and families are also welcome to arrange pickup at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole.

Mainland U.S. & International Homes

For approved homes on the mainland or in select rabies-free countries, transport options may include in-cabin flight nanny service, accompanied cargo, or direct airport pickup depending on destination and availability.

Puppies will only travel once fully weaned, developmentally prepared, and cleared to meet all applicable health and travel requirements. Puppies traveling to the mainland may remain with us until approximately 12 weeks of age to allow for additional preparation prior to longer flights and a smoother transition into their new homes.

Additional Information

All transport-related expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.

The health, safety, and wellbeing of our puppies always come first. We reserve the right to delay or reschedule travel if weather, airline conditions, routing, or other circumstances are not considered safe or appropriate for transport.

We require that your dog stays intact up until 18 months of age. However we would prefer that your dog stays intact until the age of 2 but we understand this may not be sustainable for some.

Sterilizing a dog before 18 months will void our health guarantee.

We require that dogs are sterilized by 36 months of age unless medically necessary or if we have a different arrangement.

Allowing your puppy to fully develop is crucial to the health of your German Shepherd . This time frame allows ample time for your puppy to fully mature and decreases the risk of joint problems like hip and elbow dysplasia which are common in the breed.

A $600 deposit is required to reserve a place on our waitlist and is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.

Prior to the birth of the litter, buyers may cancel their reservation for any reason and receive a refund of 50% of the deposit. The remaining 50% is non-refundable and retained as a reservation fee for holding the buyer's spot on the waitlist and the potential loss of an interest party.

Once puppies are born, deposits become non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

1. No puppy of the buyer's requested gender is available.

2. The breeding does not result in a confirmed pregnancy after a deposit has been placed.

3. We determine that we do not have a suitable puppy match for the buyer.

In any of the above circumstances, the buyer may choose either:

- A full refund of the deposit, or

- A transfer of the deposit to a future litter.

By submitting a deposit, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this deposit policy.

Our pricing reflects the extensive investment behind each litter, including health testing, importing from Europe, early development, veterinary care, and sire selection.

Deposits are $600, which will be subtracted from the total purchase price.

German Shepherd Dogs — $4,000-$4500

Each puppy goes home with a veterinary health check, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, AKC registration, a microchip, FI series 3+ collar, puppy starter package, bag of food, and so much more.

Prices are all the same per litter, individual puppies from the same litter are not priced differently. However, some litters are priced higher than others. For example, our imported litters are all priced at $4,500.

New owners also receive 30 days of complimentary AKC pet insurance, and families who remain on island receive 20% off AKC training classes!

Yes. We offer 10% discounts in the following cases:

Available to active duty, veterans, and retired service members.

Proof of service is required prior to placement.

Available to families who have previously purchased a dog directly from us.

Can discounts be combined?

No. Discounts are not stackable.

When must discounts be disclosed?

Discount eligibility must be disclosed before a deposit is placed and cannot be applied retroactively.
